PyroTex specialty fibre

PyroTex is an engineered acrylic fibre that is not comparable to any of the other FR fibres on the market, according to the company, due to its inherent properties.

The fibre is flame (LOI is 43%), acid and alkaline resistant, UV resistant, heat resistant (up to 250°C), and is also resistant against solvents, hydrolysis and oxidizing agents. PyroTex also neither melts nor drips, doesn’t produce toxic fumes, and is dyeable (also available in dope dyed).

The product meets Oeko-Tex Standard 100 Class I, and addresses a wide range of application areas, including protective apparel (all layers), filtration, public transportation (airplane, bus, train), buildings (contract textiles/sun protection), and technical/industrial applications (covers, inlay).
